MEMPHIS, COMPOSER DAVID BRYAN and HILLARY CLINTON

On Monday, July 23, Tony-winning MEMPHIS composer and Bon Jovi rockstar David Bryan donated a 9 foot Steinway Concert Grand Piano to the State Department in a gala ceremony at the State Department in Washington, D.C.

On hand to accept the gift was Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who thanked David for his historical donation and introduced performances from the cast of MEMPHIS. Kevin Massey sang “Music of My Soul,” Dan’yelle Williamson belted out “Colored Woman,” and David Bryan rocked “Memphis Lives in Me” and then the Bon Jovi hit “Wanted Dead or Alive!”
